# STOCKS | Nasdaq Gains 0.5% as Intel Rises on SK Hynix Cooperation Remarks

According to Wallstreetcn, the Nasdaq rose 0.5%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.1%, and the S&P 500 Index added 0.3%, while Intel rose about 6% and SK Hynix climbed about 3% after SK Hynix said its U.S. cooperation with Intel was still undecided. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 1.4%, storage chip stocks broadly advanced with SanDisk up about 2%, Western Digital up about 3%, and Seagate Technology up about 1%, while optical communication stocks also rose, including Marvell Technology up about 2%, Corning up about 2%, Coherent up about 4%, Credo up about 4%, and Lumentum up about 3%.
