# IRF Acquires Nomina and Its SolverNet Intent Execution Protocol

IRF, a research firm focused on decentralized finance infrastructure for AI agents, said it has acquired Nomina, including its technology, intellectual property, brand, and infrastructure. According to ChainCatcher, the acquisition centers on Nomina’s SolverNet intent execution protocol, and Nomina’s infrastructure has processed more than 7.5 million transactions to date. SolverNet is already live and has been tested in production across Ethereum mainnet and major Layer 2 networks including Arbitrum, Base, and Optimism. It is also integrated with protocols such as Symbiotic, Gearbox Protocol, and Cygnus Finance. IRF said it will use SolverNet as the foundation for strategies aimed at AI agents, including on-chain yield deployment, cross-chain and cross-currency fund transfers, and automated allocation and rebalancing. Each strategy will be expressed as a single intent and executed by a solver network. IRF plans to launch related technology over the coming months as part of its agent finance product roadmap.
