# Optical communication stocks gain, LITE up 2%, POET up 1%

Lumentum (LITE) edged up **1.94%** in overnight trading to $910.95, with the session high reaching $911.15. POET (POET) rose **1.46%** to $7.62, Coherent (COHR) gained **1.36%** to $300.00, and Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI) advanced **1.12%** to $99.16. Marvell (MRVL) added **0.35%** to $241.60, Corning (GLW) climbed **0.77%** to $148.94, AXT (AXTI) rose **0.66%** to $68.20, and Nokia (NOK) gained **0.66%** to $10.67.

The optical communication sector extended overnight gains as AI computing demand continues to drive optical module and chip demand. Expectations for 800G and 1.6T high-speed module shipments supported sector valuation. Among derivative ETFs, LITX surged **3.61%**, AAOX rose **1.96%**, MVLL gained **0.80%**, while LITZ fell **2.21%**.
