# Alibaba Health Imaging AI featured in "Science" can identify 146 diseases at once

Alibaba DAMO Academy, in collaboration with the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, has developed a universal medical imaging AI model called DAMO RADAR, which has been published in the prestigious international academic journal Science.

This model is designed for abdominal enhanced CT (computed tomography) diagnosis and can identify over 146 conditions in one go, achieving accuracy at the level of imaging specialists for the first time. It has now been officially open-sourced.

It is reported that DAMO Academy has long invested in medical AI, using AI to identify small lesions in CT images that are difficult to detect with the naked eye. It has made breakthroughs in screening for digestive system tumors such as pancreatic cancer, gastric cancer, and colorectal cancer, as well as early warning for aortic dissection, resulting in 5 papers published in Nature Medicine and over 10 other top journals within three years.

This time, DAMO Academy has launched and open-sourced a universal model DAMO RADAR for multiple scenarios and diseases, setting a new milestone in medical imaging AI and is expected to promote the medical industry towards the era of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)
