Goldman Sachs, UnitedHealth And A Tech Stock On CNBC’s ‘Final Trades’

Malcolm Ethridge, managing partner at Capital Area Planning Group, named The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE:GS) as his final trade.

Lending support to his choice, HSBC analyst Saul Martinez, on July 21, upgraded Goldman Sachs from Reduce to Hold and raised the price target from $834 to $995.

Joseph M. Terranova, senior managing director for Virtus Investment Partners, recommended Teradyne, Inc. (NASDAQ:TER).

On the earnings front, Teradyne reported better-than-expected second-quarter results on July 28 and issued stronger-than-expected guidance for the current quarter.

The company reported adjusted earnings of $2.47 per share, topping the analyst consensus estimate of $2.09. Revenue more than doubled from a year earlier to $1.329 billion, ahead of the consensus estimate of $1.223 billion.

Price Action:

  • UnitedHealth shares slipped 0.01% to close at $375.21 on Thursday.
  • Goldman Sachs shares gained 1.4% to close at $951.47 during the session.
  • Teradyne shares surged 3.5% to settle at $353.13 on Thursday.
