(NASDAQ:META) shares are popping Monday. Wells Fargo raised its price target on the stock, with additional excitement building around this week’s Meta Connect event. Why is META stock up today? ## Wells Fargo Raises its Meta Price Target to $796 Wells Fargo analyst **Ken Gawrelski** maintained an Overweight rating on Meta while raising his price target to $796 from $640 on September 21. Meta carries an overall Buy rating on Wall Street, with an average price target of $780.58. Other recent analyst actions include Citigroup maintaining a Buy rating with an $800 target on September 16, and Rosenblatt maintaining a Buy rating with an $886 target the same day. ## Meta Connect Kicks Off This Week Meta’s annual Connect event begins Wednesday, September 23, with a keynote at 7 p.m. ET led by founder and CEO **Mark Zuckerberg**, who is expected to lay out the company’s broader product vision. The event continues Thursday, September 24, with a developer-focused state of the union session at 1 p.m. ET, where Meta representatives plan to detail new tools and technologies for developers building on the company’s platforms. ## Meta Introduces Muse, a New Personal AI Agent Adding to the buildup, Meta recently introduced Muse, a personal AI agent built to carry out tasks and work toward a person’s goals rather than just answer questions. Muse runs on a dedicated secure virtual machine, communicates through the Muse app or WhatsApp and can independently browse the web, fill out forms and complete purchases on a person’s behalf, checking in for approval before sensitive actions. Meta built Muse around significant privacy and security controls, including an isolated computing environment, no visibility into a user’s passwords or payment details, and full user control over which apps the agent can access.
