# Roblox Stock (RBLX) Is Down 70%, but Its Path to Profitability Remains Unclear

Roblox Corporation (RBLX) stock is down 70% over the past year, but its path to profitability remains unclear. The company, which operates an immersive platform for users to build, share, and play virtual 3D games and experiences, saw revenue rise from just $325 million in 2018 to $5.6 billion trailing 12 months (TTM).

Yet that growth has not translated into profits, as Roblox posted a loss of more than $1 billion during the same period. The recent sell-off also came after Jefferies analysts downgraded the stock on September 28 and flagged a challenging bookings trajectory for the next 12 months, adding to concerns about how quickly Roblox can improve its financial performance. I remain bearish on RBLX because the company still lacks a clear path to sustainable profitability.
