# Nike, Corteva, Mattel, Accenture and Coherent: Why These 5 Stocks Are on Investors' Radars Today

Global bonds faced renewed selling pressure, pushing borrowing costs in the U.S., France and Japan to multi-decade highs as inflation and stronger growth expectations fueled concerns about higher rates. ## **Nike Inc.** (NYSE:NKE)

Nike stock closed at $35.15, down 0.71%, after trading between $35.02 and $36.24; its 52-week range is $35.02 to $76.97. In the after-hours session, the stock plummeted 8.71% to $32.09.

Nike reported first-quarter revenue of $11.21 billion, down 4% year over year and below the $11.33 billion analyst estimate, while adjusted EPS of 48 cents beat expectations of 44 cents. The company forecast fiscal 2027 revenue to decline by a high-single-digit percentage and adjusted EPS of $1.15-$1.35, below the $1.69 analyst estimate, as it launched its Pace restructuring initiative to streamline operations and reduce costs.

## **Corteva** Inc. (NYSE:CTVA)

Cortevashares finished at $12.57, plunging 83.81%, after reaching an intraday high of $14.44 and low of $11.84; its 52-week range is $11.84 to $90.97. The shares rose 1.91% to $12.81 in extended trading. 

Corteva completed the spin-off of its seed and genetics business into **Vylor**, leaving Corteva as a pure-play global crop protection company; shareholders retained their Corteva shares and received Vylor shares. Vylor also assumed corresponding debt through exchanges totaling about $1.44 billion in senior notes, while Corteva highlighted an $11 billion crop protection pipeline and plans to launch 12 new active ingredients over the next decade.

## **Mattel Inc.** (NASDAQ:MAT)

Mattel closed at $15.04, up 18.80%, following an intraday high of $17.23 and low of $12.40; its 52-week range is $12.40 to $22.48. 

The toy company previously disclosed that Chairman and CEO **Ynon Kreiz** would leave Oct. 2 for a senior role elsewhere, with board member and Condé Nast CEO **Roger Lynch** designated as successor.

## **Accenture plc** (NYSE:ACN)

Accenture ended at $212.30, gaining 15.78%, after moving between $211.04 and $227.63; its 52-week range is $118.15 to $291.09. 

Accenture reported fourth-quarter revenue of $18.7 billion, up 7% in local currency, driven by broad-based growth and strong bookings from its top 10 ecosystem partners. For fiscal 2026, revenue reached $74 billion, up 5% in local currency, while the company expanded its AI business to 317 diamond clients and made $1.9 billion in acquisitions; it guided for fiscal 2027 revenue growth of 3%-6% in local currency.

## **Coherent Corp.** (NYSE:COHR)

Coherent stock closed at $319.19, up 10.90%, after reaching $323.23 at its session high and $286.42 at its low; its 52-week range is $108.19 to $440. 

The optical networking company advanced alongside Lumentum as reports pointed to possible U.S. restrictions on Chinese optical transceivers, components used in fiber networks and artificial intelligence data centers.
