Seagate, Western Digital dive amid report that Toshiba aims to boost hard disk drive supply

Seagate and Western Digital shares dropped in premarket trading after reports that Toshiba plans to double hard disk drive supply. Toshiba intends to invest $380 million in the Philippines to expand facilities for AI infrastructure components, marking its first major HDD investment in five years. The company is also developing products with higher per-unit memory capacity.
