# GE Vernova Stocks Edges Higher as AI Power Buyers Favor Speed

GE Vernova , the power-generation and grid-equipment company, benefited from the rush to power AI data centers, with shares edging 0.17% higher to about $989.13 at 11.44am ET as developers pursued on-site generation. The pitch is simple: secure electricity sooner and get expensive computing equipment working.

According to Reuters' reporting, Crusoe ordered 29 GE Vernova aeroderivative turbines rated at 35 megawatts apiece. That adds up to roughly 1,015 megawatts, with ten units earmarked for its Abilene AI campus. GE Vernova is also investing more than $160 million in its Greenville turbine facility. Demand is creating an opportunity, but production capacity determines how quickly orders become revenue.

Speed comes with a bill. Industry specialists told Reuters that smaller turbines can carry higher lifetime electricity costs than larger combined-cycle systems. Customers may accept that tradeoff to get online sooner. The graphic's GF Score of just 17 out of 100 adds a cautionary signal alongside the upbeat demand story. For investors, the next test is execution: turning urgent orders into deliveries, cash and durable margins.
