# Apple (AAPL) Launches New Safeguards Against AI Agents

Apple (AAPL) is launching new safeguards to defend its electronic devices against probing artificial intelligence (AI) agents. The iPhone maker said that it plans to update its controls regarding "Full Disk Access" in its macOS operating system in response to AI agents potentially probing user data on its devices that also include the Apple Watch and iPad.

The Silicon Valley-based company warned that developers using "Full Disk Access" can expose everything on their systems to AI agents, including files, email, private messages and browsing history. This not only creates potential privacy issues for the user but also for other people that a user communicates with.
