# BUZZ-Humana rises on higher Medicare Advantage ratings

Humana Inc (HUM.N) shares jump 14.4% to $443 premarket

US govt data showed 95% of HUM’s members were in Medicare Advantage plans rated four stars or higher for 2027

Higher star ratings are crucial for insurers as they lead to govt bonus payments and can boost plan enrollment

Oppenheimer analyst estimates the improved scores could add $3.6 bln in revenue for co

In contrast, average ratings for rivals UnitedHealth Group (UNH.N) and CVS Health (CVS.N) declined 15% from prior year, per Oppenheimer, while Elevance (ELV.N) and Centene (CNC.N) also declined

YTD, up to last close, HUM up 51%, while UNH, CVS and ELV gained between 10% and 14.4%, CNC jumped 57%
