However, shares have fallen more than 5% over the past five trading days as investors worry about a possible downturn in chip demand and whether heavy artificial intelligence spending can last. Despite the pullback, Wall Street assigns a Strong Buy consensus rating. Notably, the Street-high price target of $3,000 implies more than 191% upside from current levels. ## **What's Driving Micron's Bull Case?** Earlier this week, D.A. Davidson analyst Gil Luria raised his Micron price target to a Street-high $3,000 from $2,100, while maintaining a Buy rating. After meeting with Micron's investor relations team, Luria said, "investors are early in their journey of understanding MU's value." He believes the market has yet to fully recognize the company's earnings potential and long-term growth prospects. Luria expects memory demand to exceed supply through 2027 and 2028 as AI systems need more memory. Larger memory capacity can improve AI model performance, speed, and context. He also sees Micron's long-term supply agreements as an advantage. About 50% of demand is covered by agreements with major customers, including Amazon (AMZN), Microsoft (MSFT), Alphabet (GOOGL), Nvidia (NVDA), and Apple (AAPL). These contracts give Micron better visibility into future sales while allowing it to benefit if demand exceeds expectations. Luria believes these trends could support earnings growth over the next three to five years. "This all means Micron is on a growth trajectory for the next 3-5 years, which is what the market has not yet acknowledged," he said. He also sees potential for higher shareholder returns once restrictions under the CHIPS Act expire in December. Micron plans to use all excess cash for share buybacks, which Luria believes could add to the bullish case. ## **Micron Stock Forecast — Wall Street's Other Buy Ratings** Susquehanna Financial Group reiterated its "Positive" rating on Micron with a $2,000 price target. The firm expects strong memory demand and disciplined industry spending to support earnings growth. It also sees rising demand for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) as AI infrastructure expands. Susquehanna expects memory supply to remain tight through 2028 and forecasts Micron's fiscal 2027 earnings per share at $176.39, up from $75.52 in fiscal 2026. Likewise, Morgan Stanley analyst Joseph Moore maintained an Overweight rating on Micron, with a $1,200 price target. Moore acknowledged that earnings beats have become smaller but said, "there are still clear signs that the duration is extending." He also pointed to 10 new strategic customer agreements and longer commitments from some customers. Moore sees HBM repricing as another potential catalyst, as higher prices could lift margins in Micron's cloud memory business. ## **What Is MU's Stock Price Forecast?** With 27 Buys and one Hold rating, Wall Street has a Strong Buy consensus rating on Micron Technology stock. At $1,621.67, the average price target on MU stock implies 57.60% upside from current levels. ### Related Stocks - [MU.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MU.US.md) - [MUD.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MUD.US.md) - [MULL.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MULL.US.md) - [MUU.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MUU.US.md) - [MUZ.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MUZ.US.md) - [AAPL.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/AAPL.US.md) - [AMZN.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/AMZN.US.md) - [GOOGL.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/GOOGL.US.md) - [MS.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MS.US.md) - [MSFT.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MSFT.US.md) - [NVDA.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NVDA.US.md) ## Related News & Research - [A Wall Street Analyst Just Placed a $3,000 Price Target on Micron: Here Are the Cases For and Against a 200% Surge in the Stock.](https://longbridge.com/en/news/301408177.md) - [MU Stock Price Target: Just How Much Room Do Micron Shares Have to Run?](https://longbridge.com/en/news/301599156.md) - [Micron Stock Could Nearly 'Double From Here,' Says Susquehanna.
