Properties Are Open for Business as Cleanup Efforts Progress

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The St. Joe Company (NYSE: JOE) (“St. Joe” or the “Company”) today provided a preliminary update on its Northwest Florida properties following Hurricane Isaias. Power has been restored across the Company's properties, and all hospitality, business services and commercial properties are open for business, with the exception of the Company’s golf courses, which are expected to begin reopening this week as cleanup efforts progress.

All of the Company’s hotels in Bay and Walton counties are open and accepting reservations, and all restaurants are open for business. At Camp Creek®, Shark’s Tooth, The Third and Origins℠ golf courses, crews have completed tree debris removal from greens and fairways, with efforts now focused on clearing fallen trees, primarily along cart paths. The Third and Origins golf courses are expected to reopen Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, while reopening dates for Camp Creek and Shark’s Tooth courses will be determined as tree removal progresses. The Watersound Beach Club® amenity is completely operational with the exception of beach access due to storm-related erosion and impacts to the boardwalk, which crews are actively working to address.

“Our thoughts are first and foremost with those who have been impacted by Hurricane Isaias, particularly individuals and families who have experienced damage to their homes and businesses,” said Jorge Gonzalez, St. Joe President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. “I am incredibly proud of how quickly our teams mobilized following the storm to assess conditions across our properties and begin addressing areas requiring attention. I also want to recognize the tremendous efforts of our utility providers and their crews, who have been working tirelessly to restore power throughout the area. Their efforts, combined with the dedication and responsiveness of our employees, have allowed us to make significant progress as we work to resume normal operations as safely and efficiently as possible.”

“Our teams were prepared to respond as soon as the storm passed, and their efforts have allowed us to make notable progress in a very short period of time,” said Patrick Murphy, St. Joe Senior Vice President of Hospitality. “From preparing our hotels to welcome guests and clearing our golf courses, to working toward restoring access to our amenities, our teams have worked diligently to address storm-related impacts and continue operations. While some areas still require attention, we are encouraged by the progress made and remain focused on safely and quickly resuming the experiences our guests and members have come to expect.”
