description: "Murata Manufacturing has developed the world's smallest NTC thermistor, the NCU01 series, in a 008004-inch size (0.25mm × 0.125mm). This new component reduces mounting area by approximately 60% compared to previous models while maintaining high precision with ±1% resistance and B-constant tolerances. Designed for space-constrained applications like smartphones and wearables, it allows closer proximity to heat sources for accurate thermal monitoring. Murata plans sample shipments in October 2026 and mass production in 2027."
