# Industrials Down on Flight From Risk - Industrials Roundup

Shares of industrial and transportation companies declined as traders rotated out of risky sectors.

Volvo shares tumbled after the automaker said it would cut another 2,500 employees, or around 6% of its workforce, under an expanded turnaround plan. 

Shares of Boeing ticked up ahead of its earnings reports. 

Defense contractors and aerospace companies such as Northrop Grumman and RTX posted generally stronger earnings this week. 

Canadian jet maker Bombardier unveiled plans to invest $270 million to expand its American infrastructure footprint and hire 800 U.S. workers, days after President Trump appeared to soften his rhetoric against the Montreal-based company.
