US Stocks | Shopify's Q3 Revenue Slightly Misses Targets, Stock Plunges 7%

After Shopify announced its third-quarter results, its stock fell 7% on Tuesday. Revenue for the period was $3.74 billion, slightly below the market expectation of $3.75 billion, marking the first time since 2022 that revenue has missed expectations. Subscription revenue was $836 million, also lower than the expected $850.2 million; gross merchandise volume was $119.15 billion, falling short of the expected $120.08 billion. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $0.49, higher than the expected $0.48. The company emphasized that revenue grew by 32% year over year during the period, with a free cash flow margin of 22%.
