# HSBC Repurchases 770,000 Shares Under Buyback Programme

HSBC Holdings ( (GB:HSBA) ) just unveiled an update.

HSBC Holdings repurchased 770,000 ordinary shares for cancellation on November 3, 2026, comprising 170,000 shares through UK trading venues and 600,000 shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The purchases were made from Goldman Sachs International under the company’s share-buyback programme, with weighted average prices of £12.7142 in the UK and HK$134.2929 in Hong Kong.

Since the buyback began on October 28, HSBC has repurchased 3,077,600 shares for approximately US$52.9 million. The cancellation reduces the company’s outstanding share base, while the transactions signal continued capital distribution to shareholders and may support per-share metrics.
