# Hang Seng TECH Index closed higher, with SMIC up more than 6%, and semiconductor and automobile sectors leading the gains.

On June 5th, the Hang Seng Index and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index opened high, while the Hengqin Technology opened low, and rose during the day. The Hang Seng Index closed up 0.84%, the Hengqin Technology closed up 0.43%, and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index closed up 0.55%.

SMIC rose 6.32%, Ctrip rose 4.44%, Ruisheng Technology and Weibo rose more than 2%, Xiaomi, Ali Health, HUA HONG SEMI, XPENG-W, and Tencent rose more than 1%.

On the market, semiconductors, telecommunications, finance, power, and automobiles rose the most, while food, non-ferrous metals, and biopharmaceuticals fell the most.

## Semiconductors lead the way all day

HG SEMI and SMIC rose more than 6%, HUA HONG SEMI and Gao Wei Electronics rose more than 1%.

## Telecommunications rose in early trading

China Telecom, China Communications Services, and other stocks rose more than 2%, China Mobile and China Unicom rose more than 1%, and China Telecom rose 0.5%.

## Power rose in early trading

SICHUAN EN INV rose more than 5%, Longyuan Power, China Smarter Energy Group, and Yangtze Power rose more than 3%, Kunlun Energy and DCWT rose more than 2%.

## Automobiles rose in the afternoon

APOLLO Travel rose more than 17%, Lingpao Automobile rose more than 9%, Wuling Automobile rose more than 7%, XPENG-W and BYD rose more than 1%. NIO and Great Wall Motors fell more than 2%.

## Precious Metals and Nonferrous Metals Lead the Decline

Zhaojin Mining, Lingbao Gold fell more than 10%, China Gold International fell more than 6%, and China Silver Group fell more than 3%.

## Real Estate Stocks Experience a Pullback

Jianye Real Estate fell by about 10%, CHEN XING fell by about 7%, Shanghai Zhendai and Longfor Group fell more than 6%, and Hejing Tai Fu fell more than 5%.
