Space stocks advanced during regular trading on Tuesday (September 2). AST SpaceMobile (ASTS.US) surged nearly 13% to $62.78, leading the sector, after touching an intraday high of $63.23, up more than 13% from the prior close. Rocket Lab USA (RKLB.US) edged up nearly 1% to $63.12, with shares reaching as high as $63.52 during the session. Redwire (RDW.US) gained just over 1% to $10.37, after trading as high as $10.48.
No company-specific catalysts were immediately available; the move came as part of broad-based strength across the space sector. Derivative ETFs including ASTX, RKLX, RKLZ, SPCX, SPCH, and SSPC moved in line with the broader group, reflecting heightened investor interest in space-related equities.
