Solana's V1 transaction format increases capacity to 4,096 bytes, more than three times the previous size. According to NS3.AI, Solana is also preparing to reduce slot times to 250ms around 05:01 UTC on Sept. 18. The network processed 5.2 billion non-vote transactions in August as application activity reached record levels.
