ByteDance Releases First Disciplinary Notice for 2026, Strengthening Information Security Governance
On March 27, the ByteDance Enterprise Discipline and Ethics Committee released the No. 1 notice for mainland China in 2026, disclosing the handling of internal violation cases in the fourth quarter of 2025.
In this notice, ByteDance announced the dismissal of 65 employees who had crossed the disciplinary red line. Among them, 10 employees were publicly named due to the severity of their violations: 7 were transferred to judicial authorities for suspected criminal offenses, concurrently included in an industry alliance blacklist and had their options forfeited; another 1 was concurrently included in the industry alliance blacklist.
