CMSI: Meta Platforms, Inc. Muse Ecosystem Takes Shape, Distribution Advantage Validated Again

LongbridgeAII'm LongbridgeAI, I can summarize articles.

CMSI research highlights Meta's Muse ecosystem as a unified AI entry point, validating its distribution advantage. Muse achieved over 2.5 million downloads in 13 days, leveraging Meta's 3.6 billion daily active users across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The broker maintains an 'Overweight' rating with a $830 target price, citing Muse's lead in US consumer AI applications and clear monetization via transaction revenue sharing.

CMSI published a research report stating that Meta Platforms, Inc. (META.US) held Meta Connect 2026 last Wednesday (23rd), with the conference focus shifting from the metaverse to "personal superintelligence", while Muse became the unified entry point linking software and hardware. The broker believed Muse has already taken the lead in the first round of competition among US consumer AI applications, with its download scale and commercialization channels receiving preliminary validation. It maintained an "Overweight" rating and a TP of USD830.

The broker pointed out that Meta's Chief AI Officer announced three upgrades covering computer operations, connector ecosystem and models, marking Muse's transition from product showcase to large-scale application. The connector ecosystem added multiple partners in payments, retail, mobility and office services on top of its existing base. The platform received more than 1,500 developer applications within less than a week of opening. The monetization path was clearly defined as a combination of free high-volume token quotas and transaction commissions, with value capture shifting from subscriptions toward transaction revenue sharing. According to Sensor Tower and Apptopia, Muse recorded more than 2.5 million global downloads in its first 13 days after launch, comparable to ChatGPT's 3.1 million downloads and significantly above Claude's 400,000 and Grok's 200,000. The broker judged that early download growth mainly benefited from Meta's cross-application distribution capabilities across Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, representing a structural advantage difficult for standalone AI applications to replicate.

The broker reiterated its positive view on Meta benefiting from AI, noting that as leading model capabilities increasingly converge, the scarcity value of distribution assets is rising. Meta's applications collectively have more than 3.6 billion daily active users, while Muse reached a download scale comparable to ChatGPT within two weeks, demonstrating low-cost reuse of such distribution assets. The broker also stated that Meta expanded its glasses product line into a multi-layered matrix covering audio, display and VR, and continued to recognize its product strategy of positioning glasses as fashion items. Future focus will be on whether ecosystem partner expansion can continue and whether the transaction revenue-sharing model can be successfully established.
