US natgas production hit record high in 2025, says EIA

The night session of futures opened, with fuel oil, low-sulfur fuel oil, bottle flakes, crude oil, and paraxylene falling over 3%. Propylene, styrene, and PTA dropped over 2%, while iron ore, Shanghai tin, PVC, short fibers, ethylene glycol, rubber, pure benzene, methanol, Shanghai silver, and liquefied petroleum gas fell over 1%

The night session of soybean meal rose by about 3.3%, fuel oil increased by about 3.3%, and other commodities such as soybean meal, iron ore, asphalt, bottle flakes, coking coal, low-sulfur fuel oil, and coke also rose by at least over 1%

International copper closed up 0.75% in the night session, Shanghai copper closed up 0.70%, Shanghai aluminum closed up 1.44%, Shanghai zinc closed up 0.08%, Shanghai lead closed down 0.15%, Shanghai nickel closed down 0.24%, and Shanghai tin closed up 0.61%. Alumina closed down 0.63% in the night session, and aluminum alloy closed up 1.26%. Stainless steel closed down 0.60% in the night session

Most commodities in the night market of the domestic futures market closed lower, with fuel oil and pure benzene falling more than 7.9%. Specifically, fuel oil fell by 7.98%, pure benzene fell by 7.92%, and propylene, styrene, etc. saw declines of up to 5.76%. PTA, plastics, and others had a maximum decline of 4.86%. Coking coal, synthetic rubber, and others fell by at least 1.71%. Some commodities, such as corn and white sugar, saw slight increases, with the highest increase being 0.19%

Most of the domestic futures night market closed lower, with fuel oil and pure benzene dropping over 7.9%, and double coke falling at least about 1.3%

In the first two months, China's foreign trade imports and exports started with double-digit growth, showing strong real performance. Despite the impact of the Spring Festival on short-term data, the export growth rate (21.8%) is only second to those in 2018 and 2021 in nearly a decade. The overseas capital expenditure cycle, regional market expansion, and adjustments to the photovoltaic export tax rebate policy are key factors supporting export growth. The recovery of manufacturing in major global economies has driven a rebound in external demand, particularly with outstanding export performance to Africa and ASEAN markets

- China's trade in January-February showcased robust growth, with exports increasing by 21.8%, supported by seasonal factors and a strengthening global economy.  
- Key drivers included an improved overseas capital expenditure cycle, increased orders to emerging markets, and prior export rush due to anticipated changes in photovoltaic tax policies.  
- Import growth also reflected a recovery in domestic demand, leading to a persistent high trade surplus, which supports economic growth and may strengthen the yuan against foreign currencies.
