Data Center Sector Falls Broadly Intraday as CRWV Drops Over 6%, NBIS Down Over 5%, HUT Near 8%, ORCL Close to 5%
Data center stocks faced broad selling pressure during intraday trading on September 14, with all major names closing lower. As of press time, most sector constituents fell more than 3%, led by HUT which dropped nearly 8% to $91.03; CRWV declined over 6% to $83.39; NBIS fell over 5% to $213.32; and ORCL slid close to 5% to $143.50. IREN showed relative resilience, down 1.05% at $43.37.
Among derivative names, NEBX and ORCX also came under pressure, falling 9.63% to $22.61 and 8.96% to $20.37 respectively. Trading volume remained active across the sector, with ORCL recording $5.02 billion in turnover, NBIS $2.60 billion, and CRWV $1.88 billion, indicating robust investor participation and capital rotation within the space.
Technically, the data center sector displayed a clear pullback pattern today, with all major names trading below their previous close levels. The broad-based weakness may reflect declining market risk appetite and profit-taking activity. Investors should monitor subsequent fundamental developments and capital flow trends, paying attention to key support levels.
