- In February, India's retail inflation accelerated to an annual rate of 3.21%, exceeding the expected 3.1% and up from the revised 2.74% in January.  
- The rise in inflation is primarily attributed to increased food prices, with the Consumer Food Price Index (CFPI) rising to 3.47%, compared to 2.13% in January.  
- Despite the CPI remaining below the Reserve Bank of India's mid-term target of 4.0%, the central bank is expected to maintain its neutral stance on interest rates to support economic growth while addressing supply shocks.
