India's gems and jewellery exports rose 3.86% year-on-year to $2,680.79 million in February, driven by market diversification, according to GJEPC. Total exports from April 2025 to February 2026 were nearly flat at $25,933.72 million. Despite challenges like US tariff policies and geopolitical uncertainties, the sector showed resilience. Exports of cut and polished diamonds fell 0.84%, while polished lab-grown diamonds increased by 1.85%. Gold jewellery exports grew 3.23%, and silver jewellery surged by 123.77%. The industry is monitoring geopolitical developments closely.
