$Tesla(TSLA.US) up 3%, vs. a flat Nasdaq, based on two positive Robotaxi updates. Recall, autonomy is more important than deliveries.

Musk posted on X:

1) Robotaxi service will expand in Austin this weekend.

2) Robotaxi will be available in the Bay Area in the next 1-2 months pending regulatory approval.

My take: We're 18 days into the Robotaxi services. I would have expected the fleet to begin to expand in Austin in late July, with addition of a new city in December. That all means things are progressing along faster than I was expecting. Over the next 6 months, the absolute number of vehicles and cities matters little, what matters most is the pace of expansion.
