TSMC’s 2nm fabs in Kaohsiung, south Taiwan, faced criticism at a recent hearing by local residents who say development of the land was followed by typhoon flooding, twice, last year, media report. A new 182-hectare part of the industrial park is set to open, which will house TSMC’s P3, P4, P5 plants, with public work and plant construction expected to begin in the 3rd quarter of 2027, end in 2033.
