Novatek, Taiwan’s 3rd biggest chip designer, has invested over US$200 million to develop its ASIC chip design business for AI servers, combining decades of experience with key alliances to ecosystem giants TSMC and Arm to offer multiple custom chip products, media report. Novatek's goal is to drive down costs and speed up design times for clients, as a 3nm AI server ASIC costs over US$300 million and 2nm even more. Novatek built its own AI server ASIC chip on TSMC’s N4P process, with the Arm CSS N2 architecture, and built a software verification platform as well to reduce tape-out time and cost. $Taiwan Semiconductor(TSM.US) $Arm(ARM.US) $Broadcom(AVGO.US) $Marvell Tech(MRVL.US) #Novatek #Mediatek
