Elon Musk is urging chip suppliers TSMC and Samsung to speed up production of Tesla’s AI chips as the company ramps up AI initiatives, media report, saying speed will be an elimination factor if they cannot meet Tesla's urgent demand. Musk said the 5-years it takes to build and ramp up a new fab to mass production is “an endless wait for me.” His own planning timeline is 1 to 2 years.
