Taiwan will boost space and aeronautics funding to N$71 billion (US$2.3 billion) and set a goal for a locally made-rocket to reach orbit by 2034, media report, adding the budget is aimed at building space industry factories, R&D and the cultivation of local talent. One lawmaker is quoted saying Taiwan must work harder as it is far behind regional rivals, noting South Korea’s recent ‘Nuri’ rocket launch, and China’s successful space industry. #Space
