Micron, the US memory chip giant, has completed the acquisition of PSMC’s P5 site in Tongluo, Taiwan and will immediately begin to retrofit the 300,000 square feet of 300mm(12-inch) cleanroom space there to expand production of HBM memory chips and other leading-edge DRAM products, it said, adding it expects meaningful output by the start of its fiscal-2028. Construction of the next phase at the site will begin by end of fiscal 2026 on a facility with appx 270,000 sq. feet of cleanroom space. The Tongluo site is just 15-miles from Micron’s main campus in Taichung. $Micron Tech(MU.US) #Samsung #SKhynix #Semiconductors #PSMC #semiconductor
