
Samsung will be the sole supplier of HBM4 memory chips for AMD’s upcoming GPU for AI training, the Instinct MI455X, media report. Samsung previously supplied HBM3E for earlier Instinct MI350X and MI355X chips. The MI455X is expected to use up to 432GB of HBM4, more than the 288GB used by Nvidia’s upcoming Rubin GPU.
