Air Liquide, the French industrial gas & materials giant, opened its first advanced semiconductor materials plant in Taichung, central Taiwan, dedicated to advanced deposition and etching materials, essential ingredients for AI chips, it said. The firm operates 54 facilities in Taiwan dedicated to the chip industry and has invested over €1 billion euros (US$1.16 billion) in the nation since 2019.
