
GigaDevice, the China NOR Flash memory chip giant, warned that price quotes for its memory chip products are at an all-time-high and could face considerable downside risk which would negatively impact gross margins and profitability, media report, adding it also makes SLC NAND, DDR3/DDR4 DRAM, and LPDDR4X DRAM. GigaDevice sees the price increases as a result of moves by bigger memory firms like Samsung, SK Hynix to shift production to higher margin chips rather than a spike in end-user demand. #semiconductors
