For me, the biggest focus this week is still the AI investment cycle. I believe Google's earnings will set the tone for the entire sector because its AI capex and cloud growth will tell us whether hyperscalers are still accelerating infrastructure spending. If management continues to raise investment despite concerns over free cash flow, I'll take that as a bullish signal for semiconductors and AI infrastructure names.
I'm also watching Tesla closely, but I'm more interested in its AI and robotics roadmap than vehicle deliveries. Robotaxi, FSD progress, and energy storage will matter much more than quarterly margins over the long run. Short-term volatility is expected, but I remain optimistic about Tesla's long-term AI story.
Among all the names this earnings season, I'm still most bullish on the semiconductor sector. I've been using the recent pullback to accumulate positions like SOXL, as I believe AI demand hasn't peaked—it is simply going through a sentiment reset. If Google, Tesla, and Intel can reinforce the AI growth narrative, I think this could mark the beginning of the next leg higher for the sector.
