I think $Apple(AAPL.US) Apple’s muted reaction makes sense because the foldable iPhone was already heavily anticipated. The $1,999+ price is impressive, but investors are now asking whether Apple can maintain strong margins despite higher production and component costs. For me, the real test is demand and whether it can trigger a meaningful upgrade cycle.
I remain positive on Apple because of its strong ecosystem, loyal customer base and pricing power. If Apple can make the foldable iPhone feel genuinely different rather than simply expensive, it could create another major premium product category. I also think John Ternus is well positioned to lead Apple into its next phase.
Personally, I would not judge AAPL based on one quiet trading session. I will watch sales, margins and production over the next few quarters. If Apple proves customers are willing to pay premium prices while protecting margins, I think the foldable iPhone could become a meaningful long-term catalyst.
