Amkor raised its Arizona advanced packaging plant investment to $12 billion from $7 billion earlier, and $2 billion originally – a sign of how much demand has grown in a short time. Amkor said it already has customer commitments for the first phase of the plant, 33,000 sq. meters of space, and the new expansion will raise the total to 93,000 sq. meters. Construction of phase 2 of the plant is to start in late 2027 and finish by end-2029. $Amkor Tech(AMKR.US) #Arizona #semiconductors
