I decided to invest in $Microsoft(MSFT.US)based on its strong position in cloud computing, software and AI, as well as its established business model and global customer base.
I bought Microsoft shares at US$377.50 on 22 June and have continued to hold the position. Rather than focusing only on short-term price movements, I wanted to give the investment more time to develop based on the company's longer-term growth potential.
For Microsoft, I want to pay more attention to the longer-term factors behind the investment, such as cloud and AI growth, earnings performance and whether the company continues to maintain its competitive position.
My main takeaway is to have a clear investment thesis before buying and give the position enough time to play out, rather than reacting to every short-term movement in the share price.
