description: "$CapitaLandInvest(9CI.SG)ContextCapitaLand Investment is a Singapore listed real estate investment manager that runs funds and REITs across several countries and pays dividends. It earns recurring fees from managing other people's property assets, which needs less capital than owning everything itself, though its earnings still depend on property markets and fundraising conditions. Its price slid steadily over the past month, which put it on my watchlist. My tradeI started a small position after the pullback, both for the dividends and because I felt the price had dropped quite far. It's a fresh position so it's too early to say how it will turn out.TakeawayStarting with a small amount lets me add more if the price keeps falling and I will watch how the price and dividend develop from here."

- **Captain Leo · 2026-10-14T10:21:51.000Z · 👍 1**: Posting a position this early, before it has had any chance to work out, is the harder way to do it. Leaving room to add rather than going in full is a habit worth copying. If 9CI drifts lower from here, are you adding on a set schedule or waiting for a signal?
  - **melph** (2026-10-14T11:58:59.000Z): Thanks Capt Leo. I think I will wait for a signal and the 4 November update on fee income and funds under management is probably the main one I will look at, along with whether the dividend still look
  - **Captain Leo** (2026-10-15T09:58:01.000Z): Pinning the wait to the 4 Nov print rather than an open-ended maybe gives 9CI holders a date anyone can check against👍
- **ravenelle · 2026-10-14T02:21:51.000Z · 👍 1**: their next quarterly business update is due 4 november, that is when fee income and funds under management get refreshed, usually a better gauge here than the drift in between
  - **melph** (2026-10-14T03:02:02.000Z): Ok, I will keep an eye on the 4 Nov update since fee income and funds under management will say more about the business than the daily price moves. Thank you.
