# 【Market Predict & Win】September CPI Tonight: Wall Street Can't Agree. Can You? 🔥

> 7 Banks Say 2.4%. 6 Say 2.5%. That's How Close This One Is.

At 8:30pm SGT tonight, the US releases **September CPI**. It's the last inflation print before the Fed's next decision on 28 Oct.

Last month, the Fed raised rates for the first time since 2023, to 3.75%–4.00% — and did it 12–0, with no dissents at all. What's more important: Fed projections show 16 of 18 officials expecting one more hike this year, with only two meetings left to deliver it: **28 October and 9 December**.

So tonight's number does one job — it might decide whether that last hike comes in October or December.

And it's already showing up in real life. US 30-year mortgage quotes pushed above 7%, the highest in about 20 months. Gold has stalled under pressure around $4,150–4,200. The S&P 500 sits near highs, but consumer discretionary is down 8% year-to-date — big-ticket demand is weak and borrowing costs are high. Closer to home, our 6-month T-bill cut off at 1.90% on 8 October. It was 1.59% in August and 1.70% in September. MAS hasn't touched a thing; our rates just keep following theirs.

For monthly core CPI, I’m choosing +0.2%, as inflation may be gradually cooling despite some sticky price pressures.💰 If inflation comes in cooler than expected, markets may welco
