I see this chip selloff as a potential opportunity, but I am not rushing to buy the dip just yet. $Western Digital(WDC.US) and $Lam Research(LRCX.US) both delivered strong earnings, yet their share prices fell sharply, showing that beating expectations is not always enough when investors are worried about supply constraints, valuations and future demand. The weakness in $Micron Tech(MU.US) and $Sandisk(SNDK.US) also suggests that market sentiment toward the semiconductor sector has turned cautious.

I remain bullish on the long-term AI and semiconductor growth story, especially memory chips and data-center infrastructure, but I believe patience is important during earnings season. I will continue monitoring technical support levels and wait for signs of stabilization before adding more. If prices correct further while fundamentals remain strong, I may consider accumulating gradually rather than trying to catch the bottom. For me, protecting profits and maintaining discipline are just as important as finding new opportunities.
