For example, AMD surged more than 7% after earnings but gave up almost all the gains during US regular trading hours. For my case, I intend to hold SOXX for a longer term basis,  therefore I will continue to monitor and add more to lower my cost basis. Due diligence is needed since whatever has happened has been priced in and what is unknown in the future will continue to affect the price."

- **korbs23 · 2026-11-05T09:55:21.000Z**: SOXX closed 450.41 from a 465 prior and kept sliding to 444.94 after the bell. Its intraday low was 441.68, so the close was not the low of the day.
  - **JPJP** (2026-11-05T11:47:55.000Z): Yes. I think performance is not good lately and it is affected by Intel which is among its top 5 holdings.
