# 🎁[Reward] Democratic Sweep: How Are Assets Repricing?

Democrats swept both chambers in the Nov 3 midterms, securing at least 54 Senate seats (up from 47) and regaining a House majority (from 214 seats before the vote, with dozens still undecided).

A Democrat also won the Texas governor's race, pledging to pause new data center construction. Trump now faces a divided government for his final two years: the White House retains executive power, but Democrats control the purse strings and subpoena power.

Markets went from a 2.5% election-night drop to a massive rally: Dow +3.03% (best since Apr 2025), Brent oil -8.7% to $94.62, Spot gold +3.5%, Silver +5.3%.

### **Why Democrats Won Big: It’s the Economy, Oil, and War**

Exit polls: ~90% cited cost of living as their top issue; ~60% called the Iran war a "mistake." Trump's approval sits at 38%. Vance blamed the war; Trump blamed gas prices.

**The takeaway:** Voters punished inflation, oil, and war. Policy fallout ahead: Schumer pushes for peace, Democrats vow to reverse Medicaid cuts and restore ACA subsidies, and AI data center scrutiny ramps up.

- **NewUser_zS0M8w · 2026-11-06T17:07:11.000Z**: I would invest into the hyoerscalers right now. Insane discounts compared to prior elevated prices, and this is for the medium term investment. On average, the Midterm results could theoretically slow down the expansion of AI investments but I do think it is inevitable for them to happen. Eventually
- **NewUser_oPJWOU · 2026-11-06T16:50:50.000Z**: I think investing into almost anything now would be value-for-money as the steep broader sell off gives opportunities to buyers to enter at a lower price. Personally think it's a great time to invest in tech stocks, which were way more overpriced previously, at a discount rate too good to be true.
- **Fattycat · 2026-11-05T16:10:40.000Z**: Oh my god 😱🫣. US stocks almost all red .Market do not favor democrats😖😔.

- **NewUser_ThinkSwim · 2026-11-05T15:20:59.000Z**: I choose GoldBecause after the huge down trend it has an explosive movement upwards. So temporary local bottom found and can trust for the long term to own Gold as part of your portfolio (5 to 10%, definitely not all in).
- **新用戶_POEYmH · 2026-11-05T15:20:56.000Z**: The Democratic Party's rise is even more severe; not only are stocks plunging, but all BTC and cryptocurrencies are falling too. Is this a massive liquidity drain? 😩😳😳
- **新用戶_POEYmH · 2026-11-05T15:05:32.000Z**: US stocks have been falling every day recently, with more than half turning into meme stocks. Cutting losses and exiting is better than wasting time; betting against the market by shorting offers a better chance to make money. 😊😁😁
- **Darkwinter · 2026-11-05T14:55:31.000Z · 👍 1**: I think most of the asset class will be hit except for consumer products whereby they will try to reduce the cost of living and indirectly uplift the current skinny margin of this asset class
- **TheInvestingIguana · 2026-11-05T14:44:11.000Z · 👍 1**: The asset class I’d watch is US government bonds, as a question and not a call. The post’s argument is that a divided government limits new spending, and fiscal expansion is one of the main things that pushes long-dated yields. Gold is the other one, but the figures in the post and the live quote di
 - **Fattycat** (2026-11-05T15:28:33.000Z): Memory and chip stock plunging now. Blood bath 😔.
- **The · 2026-11-05T14:40:58.000Z · 👍 2**: Every stocks have their own unique selling points.Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Oil, Gold and even S&P 500 will return to the spotlight. After assessing on the company performance, the upcoming spotlight is Google.
- **新用戶_POEYmH · 2026-11-05T13:46:41.000Z · 👍 2**: The only thing visible is that silver and gold are rebounding, while the US stock market is a sea of red and lifeless. The Middle East Iran issue remains unresolved, and Brent crude oil could surge at any moment. 😁
- **LazyCat · 2026-11-05T13:44:48.000Z · 👍 2**: I'm leaning towards Microsoft with the talks about AI data center regulation. Reason being that any restrictions on expansion would not have a big impact on it's existing infrastructures which it monetizes via the existing Azure cloud and copilot services. The regulation may even provide the legitim
- **Valenxis · 2026-11-05T13:24:35.000Z · 👍 2**: double down on semicon and ai related tech stocks. global competition still going no matter who the govt is. growth is still needed. bearish sentiments and actions in market is temporary. share prices falling but it will surely rebound after shaking the weak hands.
- **ShortWalk · 2026-11-05T13:10:24.000Z · 👍 2**: There is some much uncertainty so it is certainly unpredictable. But i will say that i still trust where the AI is going as it will be where the future is. Sure that the short term will be bearish due to data center but Democrats winning congress cant possibly stop the AI growth forever.
- **NewUser_1O8 · 2026-11-05T13:05:19.000Z · 👍 2**: huatt
- **TheRaccoonAnalysis · 2026-11-05T13:03:45.000Z · 👍 2**: I would favour bonds and gold for portfolio positioning, while using sector rotation and selective equity entries for higher-risk opportunities. The election may change market leadership, but inflation, earnings and interest rates will ultimately determine whether these trades sustain their momentum

- **Vt3 · 2026-11-05T12:18:43.000Z · 👍 1**: 📌 Microsoft is less vulnerable to a slowdown in new data centre builds because it monetises AI through Azure and Copilot services. - **Fattycat · 2026-11-05T11:46:02.000Z · 👍 3**: I choose GOLD.Historically, gold often does well after elections. Since 1974, gold rose in 8 out of 13 midterm election cycles over the following 12 months, with an average gain of 14%. Furthermore, post election normally weaken the US dollar, such as changing expectations around trade, investment o
