Honda has launched a new compact SUV in Japan through leasing—the CR-V e:FCEV, the country's first plug-in hybrid hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle with a range of 621 km. The vehicle adopts Honda's second-generation fuel cell stack, capable of generating 92.2kW of power. Equipped with two high-pressure hydrogen storage tanks, refueling takes about 3 minutes, while battery charging takes approximately 2.5 hours. It is estimated to travel 621 km on a full charge and hydrogen, with a battery-only range of about 61 km. The car features an MCF91 AC synchronous motor with adjustable regenerative braking intensity. Leasing services are available in 36 prefectures across Japan, with a retail price of around 47,511 euros.
