MG's joint venture in India, JSW MG, has launched a new electric vehicle, the Windsor. The car is offered with a battery-as-a-service (BaaS) ownership model, which is a first in India's EV sector. The base configuration of the Windsor is priced at 999,000 rupees (approximately 10,700 euros), excluding the battery pack cost. Customers need to pay a battery subscription fee of 3.5 rupees per kilometer (approximately 0.4 euros). The vehicle is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor, offers a range of 331 kilometers, and has a maximum charging power of 45kW.

The Windsor is essentially a revamped version of a Chinese product, marketed as an electric crossover utility vehicle. It features various styling and convenience elements, such as an illuminated brand logo, a full-width light bar, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear cabin offers spacious seating and is packed with features. Pre-orders for the vehicle have begun, with confirmed orders accepted from October 3 and deliveries starting on October 12.
