# The new earnings report season is about to begin! Will it determine the direction of the U.S. stock bull market?

Since the beginning of this year, with the Federal Reserve's policy outlook becoming more hawkish and bond yields soaring, the upward momentum of U.S. stocks has slowed. Especially as the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield approaches the critical threshold of 5%, investors and strategists warn that the stock market may experience further volatility. Therefore, this earnings season is crucial, as corporate profit levels will determine whether U.S. stock valuations are too high and whether the negative impact of rising bond yields can be mitigated.

This week, the U.S. stock earnings season officially kicks off, led by Wall Street investment banks and Taiwan Semiconductor:

On January 15, the following companies will announce their earnings before the market opens: $Citigroup(C.US), $Goldman Sachs(GS.US), $JPMorgan Chase(JPM.US), etc.

On January 16, the following companies will announce their earnings before the market opens: $Bank of America(BAC.US), $Morgan Stanley(MS.US), $Taiwan Semiconductor(TSM.US), etc
