Some time ago, I accidentally discovered two of Guo Yu's Douyin accounts. The newer one mostly reposts content from his video channel, while the older one showcases his daily life. As someone of the same age as Guo Yu, seeing this can't help but make me a bit envious. Based on his Douyin and Longbridge records, he entered the market around mid-last year, lost over $200,000 in a year, yet remains lively. Previously, he neither worked nor studied, spending his days traveling, dining lavishly, and chasing women. Of course, this is a testament to his privilege, but if we don’t acknowledge that his post-birth conditions are deserved, it’s no different from his claim that 'the essence of stocks is unearned gains.' In reality, people can’t make decisions behind a veil of ignorance. If I were to swap places with Guo Yu and accept all his circumstances, my current values would make it utterly unacceptable. Beyond the slight arrogance instilled by education, there’s also a fear of ignorance and a resistance to pickup artistry and truly unearned gains (even if I ever reached a point where I didn’t need to work). So, after envying Guo Yu’s lifestyle and account, all that’s left is the realization that life is hard for everyone. Rambling like this serves two purposes: first, it’s a summary of my observations and emotions as a critic, and second, I’m a bit rattled by comments like 'You’re still Guo Yu.' I’m not as self-inflated as Guo Yu; over-introspection and self-doubt are my norm. But since I’m aware of this, elevating my perspective isn’t a bad idea. If 'Guo Yu' is a state of being, it could be summarized as 'ignorant yet fearless'—a second-order ignorance, unaware of its own ignorance. His behavioral pattern centers on 'I, Guo Yu' as the sole subject, treating the market, women, and counterparts as mere tools to satisfy his whims, perpetuating the primal instincts of 'Can I eat it? Will it eat me? Can I mate with it?' The difference is that (physically) Guo Yu remains in a juvenile state due to his sheltered environment, while ordinary people, battered by society, naturally outgrow it. This is starkly evident in the evolution of axolotls—if they absorb enough thyroxine or are exposed to dry land, they lose their juvenile traits and regenerative abilities. No one is omniscient, so anyone can slip into the 'Guo Yu state.' Whether one is aware depends on the context; people exist in a Schrödinger’s Guo Yu state until observed, collapsing the wave function. Thus, recognizing the Guo Yu state is its undoing. As for how the vitality of 'the Guo Yu state is unlikely' emerges from the chaos of 'the Guo Yu state might exist,' it’s only be attributed to complex interactions. Of course, this rambling is part of those interactions. One thing is certain: if someone refuses to acknowledge their own Guo Yu state, this emergence won’t happen. In a sense, the Guo Yu state is the primal form of human cognition. There’s only one physical Guo Yu, but the Guo Yu in people’s minds is everywhere. For the physical Guo Yu, he was born a 'stock god,' needing no proof—it’s the 'stock demon' that requires refutation. Thus, narratives like 'overthrow Guo Yu,' framed in binary opposition, are meaningless to the narrator and only reinforce Guo Yu’s influence. Guo Yu slips away after the wave function collapses; he can’t be loudly overthrown. Whether the physical Guo Yu can find vitality depends on when the Guo Yu in his heart leaves. The 'divine' aspect of the stock god is so thoroughly preserved that it’s impossible without an environment fostering his juvenility. The transition 'from god to man' inevitably involves drastic changes in living conditions—like the axolotl analogy, these changes are intensely uncomfortable, far beyond 'begging like Sam' or 'staying in hostels.' After all, if you can still dine lavishly after a margin call, why abandon 'divinity'? The fear ordinary people feel toward Guo Yu stems less from material 'causality' and more from the interplay of 'civilization.' $Unitedhealth(UNH.US) $Oscar Health(OSCR.US) $Direxion FTSE China Bear 3X(YANG.US) $ASML(ASML.US) $Tesla(TSLA.US) ### Related Stocks - [BYTED.NA](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/BYTED.NA.md) - [UNH.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/UNH.US.md) - [OSCR.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/OSCR.US.md) - [YANG.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/YANG.US.md) - [ASML.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/ASML.US.md) - [TSLA.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/TSLA.US.md) ## Comments (2) - **不吃香菜的交易员 · 2026-02-17T09:39:00.000Z**: Looking back half a year later in light of today's events, it's especially fitting. - **不吃香菜的交易员 · 2025-07-22T09:16:06.000Z · 👍 1**: Even the Gu of Longbridge is regarded as the God Gu by Longbridge's AI.
