description: "Beginner's Notes on US Stocks 73The first year of financial investment, striving to take every step wellReviewed today, this account's annual return is 12% (with some exchange rate loss, the rate was around 7.2 when exchanging; if it falls below 7, I'll exchange more, but won't if it goes above 7.3); the IB account was only funded in the second half of the year, with a 6-month return of 11%; on-exchange funds also started in August, with a 7% return. Given this year's market conditions, this return rate is definitely not great, so the review process is also about understanding my own limits—main focus should still be on my primary job (was supposed to take an exam today, but the system crashed, hopefully can get it done tomorrow). For US stocks, the biggest lesson is choosing the right targets and managing positions well. Planned next year's core positions: 70% in top stocks, and if profits are good, use excess returns for speculative small-cap trades (e.g., if a top stock performs well and the holding price is below target when the position target is met, the excess can be freely traded as a reward for good execution).On-exchange, Alipay funds will be partially cashed out opportunistically; A-share account continues DCA into dividends and gold (gold is at highs now, so not increasing; dividends are on monthly DCA, considering adding A500—if real estate falters, the national team will need a capital pool, so can observe before entering).Next year's targets: 15% for US stocks, 8% for on-exchange.US stock opportunities: Top three US stock positions are UNH, META, and AMZN, hoping for a turnaround. No trading opportunities now, can DCA into QQQ and SPY.On-exchange opportunities: Gold and silver currently have the highest returns, will hold until mid-next year. The biggest loss is Hong Kong innovative pharma, watching for a rebound. Will add funds to DCA into dividends; IC and IM roll contango needs study before trading (year-end is crazy busy, but the long Lunar New Year break seems like a good time to learn and plan for next year).Health, family time, excel at my main job, and manage side gigs well.Let's get rich slowly together, folks～"

I have a medium-sized account with smaller assets than yours, and so far, it's all been low-frequency trading. What's the probability of being taxed for this? How about the probability of b
